Humanistic Approach

Australian sociologist Elton Mayo promoted the humanistic approach. He concludes that seeing labour as a human component of manufacturing is crucial. As a result, adopting a fresh, contemporary, and understanding perspective on labour welfare policies became essential. The humanistic approach to labour welfare includes human values and connections, whereas the previous approaches to labour welfare did not. The administration of the industrial units lacked a human element, and Mayo discovered the value of unofficial relationships between worker groups and emphasised respite for humans. This method introduces labour welfare while taking into account the attitudes, personalities, and sentiments of the workers. As a result, it is clear that the humanistic perspective on labour welfare adopts a progressive stance.
